After our meal, we grew bored and decided to sightsee, so we found an out-of-the-way road, Mohave County Route 1, across the stateline in Arizona and took it east, then south through barren land toward a small unincorporated community called Topock.Briefly, we saw the sun reflect off a solid object which was the gray color of the old Goodyear blimp (1950s), but which reflected light as though it were a mirror. We pulled off the road to look and were shocked to see that it was an oval object which sat on six legs. There was an opening in the side. The object was approximately 15 feet x 10 feet x 5 feet (l x w x h).Three entities--alive or robotic, we do not know--came in single file from behind a small hill and moved almost ritually, keeping formation as they turned corners and entered the object on a ramp (inclined plane) which we had not noticed before. The entities were 2-4 feet in height and appeared to be in identical, skin-tight, gray jumpsuits. The four of us immediately fell asleep and dreamed the same dream: that we were in a movie theater and the lights went down and the screen came to life, but the display was simply a collection of words to the effect that we would write a document that contained the explanation of the Fermi paradox, as well as a partial explanation of the phenomena we call unidentified flying objects and sentient extraterrestrial life. When we awakened, the ellipsoid was airborne, appeared to be at an altitude of 200-400 feet and stationary. We heard a sound like that of a door squeaking on its hinges for a full 5-8 seconds, then the object disappeared in no particular direction. We found the very faint imprints of the supports on the hard ground and disturbed pebbles. Nothing more. One of us is a retired chemist, another is a practicing neurosurgeon, another is retired Coast Guard, and one of us is a musician. We do not use drugs and we had not drunk alcohol. We did not report this incident.True to the communication, one of us experienced an overwhelming compulsion to write the document, and the document is FIRST FRUITS. It came from nowhere. I sat at computer and I wrote. Thats it. It flowed- I do not know from whom or from what place. It appears that the source was familiar with the works of the Australian novelist, Morris West.We can see neither specific answers to the Fermi paradox, nor satisfactory explanations of the UFO/ET conundrum. Perhaps you can and will. Be our guests. If you do not find the keys to the locks, we hope that you enjoy the story. They told us that the answers within the story are in a form which is intelligible to the intelligence of our life forms because the longer narrative form is compatible with your neural structures as supports of the awareness you call consciousness. Moreover, the story itself is odd. The reader must decide whether one character is a fraud, a maniac, a saint of the Catholic Church, or an extraterrestrial entity himself. The cinematic presentation that all four of us viewed while we were in sleep noted twice that the story in the document would be factual, that somehow even what would appear to be fictional embellishments would be non-fiction.We have been unable to connect the storyline to any event or sequence of events in what we call the real world. In defeat, we turn it over to any reader who may be able to piece together an elucidation of the Fermi paradox and the ultimate black box of the phenomena of unidentified flying objects and sentient off-planet life forms or their automatons.Good luck. We wish that you succeed where we have done our best and failed.
